We started registering dogs to include the Olde World Bulldogge in 1995 as part of the American Society of Rare and Working Breeds - ASRWB. The ASRWB was a registry concentrated on the working dog. In 2007 we decided to start registering just Olde World Bulldogges. We decided to create the Olde Bulldogge Society (O.B.S.) to positively promote the healthy breeding, ethical registration, and responsible ownership of the Olde World Bulldogge. The O.B.S. encourages members/dog owners to practice responsible dog ownership to its highest degree. Our vision is a registry that spans the interests and activities of all the membership. Our day-to-day aim is for a registry where through education dogs are bred by responsible, knowledgeable breeders and owned by a fancy well versed in the breed and committed to its care and betterment. We are currently a closed registry working with a group of knowledgeable breeders to maintain, strengthen, and improve the dogs in our breeding programs, through shared education and breeding practices. To join the O.B.S. your dogs must meet specific guidelines, if your dog is not from the shared bloodline your dog must be voted in by the O.B.S. panel. The O.B.S. is not a paper registry. Your dog will be judged ethically, strictly, but fairly. All dogs will be judged against the breed standard and registered against how they measure up against that standard and must meet all the guidelines put forward by the O.B.S. Olde Bulldogge Society Mission Statement: - To maintain an ethical registry for the Olde World Bulldogge, and preserve its integrity. - To sanction dog events that promote interest in, and sustain the process of, breeding for type and function of the Olde World Bulldogge. - To educate and provide assistance to new dog owners while emphasizing the importance of responsible dog ownership. Olde Bulldogge Society Objective: - To positively promote the healthy breeding, ethical registration, and responsible ownership of the Olde World Bulldogge.
